Teahouse Kuan Yin
Sencha Benifuuki - Organic
Couldn't load pickup availability
A limited release tea! Benifuuki (meaning "red riches and honors") is made from a cross between Bene Homare, a black tea cultivar, and a test cultivar from Darjeeling, India. As a sencha, it was found to contain high levels of o-methylated catechins, which are proven to help with symptoms of seasonal allergies due to histamine suppression.
The flavor of this tea is sweet and lightly grassy with notes of honeysuckle. It has a buttery mouthfeel as well as a bright, slightly floral finish. Produced on an organic farm in Kagoshima Prefecture, the often shady mountain slopes of this farm yield especially aromatic and full flavored teas.
