Black Cloud

Hei Yun (Black Cloud) is a handcrafted black tea from Fujian Province. Grown at an altitude of 700 meters from the slow-growing mountain cultivar Mei Zhan, this tea is a beautiful example of tea from a small farm using traditional practices.  Not adhering as much to certain standards like highly popular teas, its characteristics can vary from year to year. It brews into a clear deep ruby/amber color. The dominant flavor is semi-sweet chocolate with rich notes of malt and aromas of dried plum and raisin.
