Dattan Sobacha
Tiny roasted kernals of a rare buckwheat provide a warm, comforting tea with a variety of healthful properties, the perfect cup for a chilly evening in Autumn. This particular type of Dattan Soba (tartary buckwheat,) is grown in the cool climate of Hokkaido, Japan and has an exceptionally strong, nutty flavor.
Dattan Sobacha is higher in vitamin B1 and has approximately 100 times the amount of the nutrient rutin than regular soba. Rutin is an anti-inflammatory nutrient that had benefits for anyone suffering from inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, as well as high blood-pressure and cholesterol. Sobacha is also high in D-chiro-inositol which can lower blood glucose levels and help protect against heart disease, diabetes, and stroke. In addition it contains several antioxidants and minerals that can benefit immune function and control weight gain. (Not intended to treat or diagnose medical conditions-- talk to your doctor.)
