Our Genmaicha is bright and refreshing Sencha tea perfectly balanced with hearty roasted and puffed brown rice. The tea has a strong vegetal flavor, and the rice lends a grounding toasty tone. In this version, Matcha is added to strengthen the green tea flavor and enhance the green color.
Genmaicha is sometimes referred to as 'popcorn tea' because some of the rice grains pop during the roasting process and resemble popcorn. It is delicious both hot and iced.
