This "tuo" cake is produced from wild grown tea, from high altitude regions, using a traditional oxidation method and pressed into the "melon" shape. In the Qing Dynasty, people in Yunnan presented Golden Melon tea as a gift to the Emperors and royal families. A wonderfully aromatic pu-erh with a rich golden color and complex dimension. It is nutty, fresh, full, smooth, and creamy, with hints of melon. Packed in 2008,this delicious pu'-erh will continue to develop a rich, earthy flavor with further aging.
