Hong Shui Oolong
Hong Shui (or red water) is a roasted oolong processed in the style of oolongs from Dong Ding mountain in Taiwan. These tightly rolled black leaves require many steepings to fully appreciate their subtle character. The tea yields a liquor that seems to fall somewhere in between the light-bodied black teas of Taiwan and a dark oolong. The color is a lovely red-amber and contains flavors of burnt sugar and malt, with fragrance of roasted apples and dried plum. Later steepings give way to more earthy/charcoal notes typical of a roasted oolong. Altogether a mellow, sweet, smooth experience. EU Certified.
